We draw from a large pool of in-house engineers for software and hardware, mechanical engineers, manufacturing and machine-building experts, physicists, mathematicians, and medical experts.

1996

At the Institute Jozef Stefan (IJS), the largest research institute in Slovenia, Dr. Mark Pleško forms a group of enthusiasts to develop a control system for ANKA, a German particle accelerator.

2001

The IJS group forms its own company, Cosylab. Cosylab specialises in control systems for the planet's most complex machines; nuclear accelerators, optical and radio telescopes, fusion reactors, cancer therapy systems, and much more.

2006

Cosylab attains its first quality assurance certificate - ISO9001

2008

Cosylab has over 250 successfully finished projects with customers from the most prestigious research institutes from all around the world, such as CERN nuclear accelerator, ITER fusion reactor, ALMA radio telescope array, and many more.

2010

Cosylab starts developing software for medical devices, with an integral focus on software for proton therapy.

2011

Cosylab attains the ISO13485 medical devices quality management standard.

2016

Cosylab starts developing a products suite of software that covers all areas of oncology treatment; from accelerator control, imaging, and motion control to patient treatment.

2017

Cosylab has 150 employees in six branches worldwide.

2019

The majority of proton therapy vendors, including the largest, Varian, are using Cosylab medical device software solutions. At the same time, Cosylab is offering its services and custom solutions to the world's leading clinics, such as Harvard's MGH in USA, MedAustron Institute in Austria, and PSI in Switzerland.

2020

Cosylab announces a new initiative, the ArrowFast Medical Device Engineering, which empowers startups to develop their new medical devices faster and more accurately, solves complexity behind the development, and brings the result – a certified medical device, in time.
